I came to China by myself, and now I want to exchange my money before I return to the US.|||Just go in and ask them. They won't bite.|||Do you still have the bank document proving how many dollars you converted into yuan when you arrived? If the document is less than 2 years old, then can "reverse exchange" for an amount less than or equal to the total.
If you do not have this document, then you cannot exchange yuan back into any foreign currency at a Chinese bank. However, if you have a Chinese friend they can do it up to $50,000. Or you can bring your yuan to Hong Kong or Macau and do it there with no restrictions.|||Just go in and ask them to change it back to dollars.
There might be a limit as to how much you can change though, and don't forget that there will likely be a commission charge.
If they can't do it for you, (maybe the have no dollars) then you will easily be able to change them at the airport. Although the commission may be higher.
:-)|||DUMBASS question....ALL Chinese banks have people with enough English to do this.|||any a china bank is ok
english is no problem
