Since number 4 is unlucky in China, would a Chinese person earning RMB 4k per month would feel bad?

would they ask his employer to deduct 1 Yuan from their salary to make sure that number 4 doesn't figure in their salary?|||Interesting question, I know some Chinese people in the US trade cars and houses based on a price like $1,888 or $388,888. I wouldn't be surprised when an employer decides he should pay someone $4K he would change it to $3,999. However I still think these people are in the minority, most employers don't mind giving out a number with 4's if it's a fair market price.|||As 8 is a lucky no. in China 4 is thought to be unlucky but a Chinese making 4,000 rmb a month would be happy. It is above avg. income. He would not likely ask for a reduction of 1 yuan but could ask for 1 more. Will not likely get it but never hurts to ask.|||As verified by Longlive, your presumption is logical.
