Do you think techno, RMB, rap, regge is music?

nothing against it i just want to know what people think....|||regge = yes

techno= mmmm

RMB, rap= crrrrap|||Music is an art form whose medium is sound. Common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture.

rmb? no, it isnt music. i dont know what it is.

rap- yes, of course

regge? no, it isnt music. i dont know what it is.

Ooooh

R%26amp;B?? yes, of course

reggae?? yes, of course|||Anything with lyrics and background noise can be considered music. For me, music is anything that means something to the artist. As much as I hate Soulja Boy, if he says that his lyrics mean something to him, then it's music. Rap is highly judged because most of the popular rap is all about gangs and violence. I happen to be a huge rap fan, but it's not the typical artists like 50 Cent or Lil Wayne. These artists are just in it for the money. The underground and low profile rappers really create amazing lyrics and rap about political and world problems. You mentioned the beats are all the same. You really should research "beat making." Especially someone like DJ Premier. These guys go through thousands of records looking for the perfect sample to turn into a beat. Although they may not use an "instrument," what they do is considered an art. As for reggae, Bob Marley was considered reggae, and anyone who says he didn't make music should be shot.|||Techno, not really into it so i wouldn't know ( but trance and house hell yeaaaah)

Rnb, yep but i don't listen to much anymore

Rap, use to be, now it's pure garbage

Reggae, yep, if i manage to understand what they saying :P|||I would say yes as they all contain the 7 musical elements which are:

Pitch

Timbre

Texture

Rhythm

Structure

Duration

Tempo

They are just used in different ways. So i would say yes they are all music, just a different variety...|||I think they all are, with the exception of rap.

If the right words are chosen, rap can be more poetry. On the other hand, it can just be fast-talking filth if the lyrics are bad.|||Yes, but not very good music. Music is based on beats and rhythm. If there are those two things, there is music.|||yeah ofc

altho out of them i only realy listen to rap which imo is poetry first and music second|||.yeah
