I currently feed raw, but want to switch back to a high quality kibble it will be solid gold brand I just got 2 big bags delivered along with canned green tripe by solid gold, but I want to feed whole cornish hens 3 times a week, and canned salmon or canned sardines in oil once a week. I will not feed both kibble and raw meat and bones on the same day. Does anyone else do this?|||If you know how good raw feeding can be, why would you switch back to kibble? Once raw, it is best on the dog's digestive tract to stay raw!|||Why would you want to do that? Not only will be expensive, but your dog will have intestinal upset. It can take up to 14 hours to digest kibble, and raw takes about 4 hours. I think you are asking for problems to do that...
Why would you want to switch back to kibble? Raw is what is best for your dog.
Why would you want to undo all your hard work by trying to switch your dog back to kibble?|||When I was feeding raw I mixed it with kibble many people do, it's fine. I only went back to kibble because it's easier for someone else to feed when I'm out of town. I still feed raw veggies and Buffalo bones. Take care;^)|||Just one question:
Why?
Raw feeders clearly care a lot about their pets, so why are you retreating back into fast-food? I don't think it matters if you feed raw %26amp; kibble on the same day, but remember, a dog doesn't need small, evenly spaced meals. Think of how it would eat in the wild: one meal a day, occasionally fasting.
Keep up the the green tripe and cornish hens!
