Is it true that a foreigner can only buy a maximum of $500 dollars in China? This is using RMB of course.?

To buy foreign currency is a bit tricky in China and quite difficult. If you bought RMB before you should keep all exchange receipts, otherwise banks may not change it for you.

In Hong Kong you can change any amount you like back to hard currency. But be aware that you are only allowed to bring RMB20,000 out of China, but since nobody is checking.......|||no this is upto u how much money u wanna exchange . can change upto 3000 us dollers.|||It's not true. You can buy pretty as much as you can.|||of course not!!

Many foreigners buy products in China exceeding the figure you stipulated here!

Recently my brother went there and he spent about RMB400 "per" day! even more than that!

who would even check? I know foreigners who come to China , the money is NOT actually checked! Although you are only allowed to bring RMB20,000 but no one checks!|||no its not true
