Actually I have 2 questions:
1. Is the Chinese Yuan Renminbi (RMB) convertible to Thai Bhat in Thailand?
2. What's the current rate?
Please, no links to currency exchange sites, I know them all, I want the first hand local information. Thanks|||Yes you can convert RMB to Baht in most money changers in Bangkok.
Last time I was there ( 6 months ago ) the rate varied between 4 and 5 Baht per RMB|||u spelt bhat wrong, BAHT|||No problem to exchange your Chinese into Thai currency, but the rates are not very favorable:
At Kasikornbank today's Buing Rate is 3.718, Selling Rate 4.9875
Quite a spread as you can see.
Perhaps it makes more sense to exchange your Renminbi first into $ or 鈧?- currencies with a much lower spread at Foreign Exchange Centers in Bangkok.
