Can you change Chinese RMB to Ringgits in Malaysia?

I live in China and will be visiting Malaysia. I would rather change my money from RMB straight in to Malaysian Ringgits, instead of having to change it from RMB to USD then USD to RM. It's probable that you cannot change the currency in China as Malaysian Ringgits are not common. However, can you travel to Malaysia with RMB and change them there?|||Yes you certainly can change Chinese RMB to ringgits in Malaysia; in fact all money-changers (and banks) do that beginning from the KL international airport. There are many money changers in Kuala Lumpur city, not to worry.

DO NOT change to USD - RMB is widely accepted in Malaysia and many Chinese visitors change their RMB to ringgit without converting to USD.|||I have just returned from Malaysia. At your local money changer in Kuching, you can change Chinese RMB into Ringgits. It was a bit of a problem at the bank, but definitely at the money changer.

|||Of course! No problem at all at any money-changer which can be found all over Kuala Lumpur city and the bank outlets at the airport. No need to convert Chinese RMB to USD - you will lose twice when you change them to ringgit again.|||svujyfhv|||Yes you can..|||I would change it to USD first. It is problematic to change RMB anywhere inthe world. And things are always changing - think about what you would do if you got to Malaysia with your RMB -and the situation turned out to be that you couldn't make the exchange? USD is acceptable practically everywhere and this is your best choice.
